State Housing Trust Fund
View allThe State Housing Trust Fund (SHTF) helps ensure decent, safe and affordable housing for Iowans through two important programs.
SHTF Programs
- Local Housing Trust Fund - This program receives at least 60% of the annual SHTF allocation to provide grants for organizations certified by IFA.
- Project-Based Housing Program - The remaining funding aids in the development of affordable single-family and multi-family housing.
